851 Centiskorch
Kabu leaned against the boulder, his back protesting. Those wild water-types gave him and Centiskorch a workout today. No slouching for long, though! There were drills to run for the junior trainers, food to haul in for the gym's pokémon, more training tomorrow at dawn before challengers rolled up for the day...
Centiskorch skittered over the stone and draped around his trainer's neck, like the world's longest, leggiest towel. Low heat radiated from his exoskeleton into Kabu's shoulders. Steam curled lazily from water gun–drenched clothes.
Kabu allowed himself a sigh. Maybe all that could wait just a few more minutes.
854 Sinistea
The woman swept Sinistea aside without a second glance, smashing it against its teaset. Panic rippled through the ghost as she reached toward it, but she snatched a different—empty—cup.
"An antique! For attracting proper sinistea!" she crowed at the shopkeep, her volume rattling the dishes. Sinistea flowed over its teacups, checking anxiously for cracks. "Thank goodness I rescued it from that shelf of fakes!"
She wrapped her prize in luxurious cloth, then left with a shelf-quaking door slam. The shaking settled, and, finally, so did Sinistea. If antiques attracted people like that, thank goodness it had plain porcelain.
