Whoops, distracted again.

I *am* actually still working on two relatively large pages and some other stuff on the side. It's just taking a while because I've been too distracted to just sit down and write anything for any long periods of time. On top of that, at least one of them is going to require me to do something with Javascript or something else; I need to figure out the best way to handle that without making the page unnecessarily cumbersome, etc..

I did add two more pictures to the artwork page, though, so there's that if nothing else.

Two updates in nine days? Crazy, man.

Crazy, but true! I actually added a sort of interesting page today! And it doesn't even have anything to do with ASB! Can you believe it?

That page, in the Misc. Writings section, is a fanarticle about some of the more confusing Pokémon designs. It attempts to take a crack at explaining those Pokémon with less obvious or incredibly varied origins. I've started by covering two groups of Pokémon, the heavily-debated legendary beasts and the not-so-heavily-debated-but-I-get-annoyed-when-people-say-they're-just-wolves Poochyena and Mightyena, and I'll add more as they come to me; if any Pokémon has ever really confused you, you can email me and suggest that I look into it. I might also add another section to it about designs that aren't so much confusing as they are interesting, so we'll see.

I've got some ASB and some game-related sections in the works as well, so we'll see if I can't get at least one of those up by the end of the month.

I updated the Platinum failblog a few days ago–the newest post covers my trek through the Torn World, so you might find it interesting. I also added another link to the "these are cool" section of the sidebar. It's a Pokémon text RPG I mod at. I know, I know, you're thinking it's Yet Another Uninspired Pokémon TRPG, but it's got a lot more freedom and wanton destruction at the hands of baby Pokémon. Give it a look, it's really a lot of fun once you get going. :)

Phoenix actually keeping her word? What devilry is this?!

No, really! There are actually new pages up, one of which is technically useless but hey!

So let's get the useless page out of the way first. I got back into the Pokemasters Forums ASB league recently, and, of course, that means a new team profile page. If you happen to frequent TPMASB as well, would you mind just giving it at least one look and tell me if I got one of my Pokémon wrong? I really don't remember.

The other, less pointless one is a page with some ASB arenas I've created and that anyone can use if they're stuck for ideas. There are currently only two, but more will be added as I come up with them.

School starts again tomorrow and that means four straight hours of math on my first day back, but as long as the math doesn't totally eat me I will keep working on the site.

I've also gotten to the next good stopping point in Platinum; I just haven't had a chance to type it up for the failblog yet. It should be up sometime soon, though.

I swear to god I'm working on something that is actually semi-useful and vaguely informative, you guys! Really! I promise I won't come back until I have something decent to show you!

you'll never see me again

inching along

Still working on the fakemon project site thing, slowly but surely; I have a few other side-jobs I've taken that are also eating up my time, and school will be starting in a few weeks, but I'm still working on that and on some things I've got planned for this dusty little corner of the internets.

In the meantime, though, a few new requested pictures have been added to the artwork page. I've also restarted the Platinum blog, at least for now. At the very least I want to get through my little trip through the "Distortion World" (ugh Torn World was better, but couldn't they at least have made it "Distorted World" so that it doesn't sound so stupid?). Eventually I might copy my entries in the blog to the site just because this place is so goddamn empty in the event that anything happens to the blog, or maybe it might be easier/preferable for some people... dunno, but it's something.

Happy New Year, etc., etc..

Back, if you could call it that

I finished NaNoWriMo, whoohoo!

To put a slightly more relevant spin on it, that is a good thing because the basic framework for the story is finished. It's going to require one hell of a total rewrite before it's ready for public viewing, and I'm rather tired of it at the moment and so won't be taking an axe to it until January at the earliest, but hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult and I'll be able to start posting the story sometime next year.

You've probably noticed the two new layouts. Actually, they aren't "new" at all; they were the first two layouts I was working on when redesigning the entire site, but I swapped the colors and images around at the last minute so that they used the more simplistic ones instead. What possessed me to do this when these two layouts are perfectly good and a little more interesting (and not as garish-looking on Macs) I do not know, but all that matters is that I got sick of the previous look and switched back to these today. They still need some minor aesthetic tweaking, but they should be entirely presentable and functional as they are now. If you experience any problems with them or something looks odd, email me and let me know so that I can fix it.

The fall quarter of school is over next week and I have a comparatively long break ahead of me until winter quarter starts in mid-January. Hopefully I'll have time to add more actual content to this place. I haven't added any right now (aside from the layouts), as my current obsession with creating fake Pokémon–and, by extension, the project site that goes with them–is eating up a lot of my attention span, but I hope to get something substantial done over the break. When I've finished the fakemon project site (who knows when that will be) I'll probably move the requested fakemon over there, but they'll stay for now; I might upload some of the artwork of my own and the newer requests later, in addition to anything else I happen to finish or semi-finish.

I did add a shiny Golbat to the sparklies page, though, so if you want one then go ahead and make me an offer.
